Like many villages in the area, Nussloch, a town nine kilometers south of Heidelberg on the "Bergstrasse," traces its historical beginning to 766 A.D.
After the Reformation, a Lutheran parish was established in 1700 A.D. in Nussloch on "Lindenplatz," the intersection of Loppengasse and Sinsheimerstrasse.
Artist Marsha Cheney portrays the old church with its original windows and bell tower. This springtime study reflects the simple grace of modern lamp posts along old cobblestone streets, enhanced by colorful gardens, window boxes, and a quaint fountain--all of which create the charm so typical of many villages throughout Germany.
