Marsha S. Cheney
                                           Artist's Biography
 
 

Marsha Cheney, (B.A., M.A.) is a native of Jackson Hole, Wyoming, a renowned art center, where she gained her first love for nature and painting. 
 
During 14 years residency in Germany, Marsha achieved the highest level, the "Gold Certificate," from a German Master Painter at the Wiesbaden Herzfeld School of Art. 
 
She also studied under a gifted American watercolorist with City Colleges of Chicago in Heidelberg, Germany
 
Marsha and her husband, Craig Cheney, (Col, USAR, retired) have six sons and 15 grandchildren.
 
 
Inspired by the Impressionists of Europe, Marsha's paintings reflect the charm of historic European architecture and nature; the magic of old German Christmas traditions; and the melding of old and new in modern Germany.
 
Her original watercolors and prints were sold in several exhibitions in Germany and are found in private collections in France, Belgium and the USA. 
 
Marsha's pen and ink sketch of the Heidelberg Castle and Old Bridge was used by the United Services Organization (USO) of Rhein-Neckar, Germany for special invitations to the "Student Prince," a popular play performed annually in Heidelberg.
